I have taken my 3 series into A&R German three times now. Every time has been a great experience. One urgent time they were able to accommodate me asap and had the car fixed and ready later that day (water pump failure). Prices are good and service is great. They don't try to sell you anything you don't need. They are able to fit you into their schedule very easily. Highly recommended.

Great owners make this place shine. Each time I take my cars in I have full faith that it'll come out corrected. If something can't be fixed, or doesn't need to be fixed, they let me know instead of applying pressure to fix everything immediately. Excellent quality topped off with great customer service!

Beyond satisified with the service, prices and honesty of both Allen and Ralph. My car was ready for a B service and I was ready to change from the dealer to a local mechanic - boy did I get lucky with A and R. They did a great job at a reasonable price. No trying to sell "extras" that you may not need. A coulple weeks after my service I thought I might need a battery when I called they said drop by and they would be happy to check it out. Fast service and I drove out with a new battery and a great feeling.

These guys are super! I have always had outstanding service from them. As an automotive enthusiast & racer, I know when someone is trying to BS me regarding car work or repairs. These guys are as good as I have ever seen!

A & R German Motors is the best mechanic you will find in Hermosa Beach and probably the whole South Bay area. We have had our 2004 MB SUV ML 350 repaired for different problems and have always been very satisfied with the repairs. We have also had our 2001 MB SEDAN repaired and serviced here. We always get an honest estimate of what the potential costs will be. Ralph will only recommend what future needs your car may need and he is never pushy or adamant that repairs get done ASAP and try to get you have unnecessary things done. We just bought another used 2010 MB SUV ML 350 on 2-28-17 and will only have A & R German Motors perform any future services/repairs. When you own used vehicles as we do, you want to have an honest mechanic work on your car!

Alan and Randy are fantastic! I have been bringing my car to them for a couple years now. They were recommended by a friend and I am so thankful. They are trustworthy, honest and flat out are excellent mechanics. They always take care of my car and never try to push unnecessary services. They will never try and rip you off like dealerships and other mechanic shops. It is so reassuring to know that if anything goes wrong with my BMW, I can trust Alan & Randy to take care of it! I also love that they have candy at the front desk every time I am there! I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Thanks Alan & Randy!

Very satisfied with this service overall. They replaced my water pump and thermostat on my BMW 325i. It was time to get the coolant system replaced as the mileage was at 121,000, and I could tell the car was overheating sometimes and losing power. They are a top notch service provider with fair prices.... About the price, it is at the higher end, but it is 100% worth it. If you are looking for the cheapest repair cost this is NOT the place.... but if you are looking for the most experienced mechanic this IS your place. When working on high end cars you need a high end mechanic!

A&R came recommended to me by a very tough to please friend; the guys there are terrific mechanics and very trustworthy. No small thing. I always felt cheated by my dealership and am relieved to have A&R as an option. I will continue my relationship with them for as long as I have my BMW.

great service. actually didn't charge me for work once when the work didn't completely fix the problem. been going for years with my AMG and will continue as long as I own a mercedes.
