I love these guys! I have an 18 year old Mercedes Stationwagon and I rely on A & R to keep my old Mercedes running smoothly. Over the years they have helped me with standard maintenance, but also with more complex problems. As an older female with little knowledge of car mechanics, I am always hesitant when dealing with male dominated professionals. But not with A &R. Everything is explained patiently to me and with a smile. No matter how long it's been since I was at the garage, I am always greeted with a smile and by my name. It's a little thing, but it absolutely adds to my comfort level. There are never any surprises with these guys....nothing is done on the car until it is explained to me. They always show me the old part (if that is what was done) and try to demonstrate the problem. There are a few things on my car that have failed...like the dashboard time and temperature. It was explained to me that the repair would be expensive and is not intrinsic to the operating of the car. Another repair shop would probably take advantage of my ignorance, and recommend the repair. Not A&R! They would be happy to do this expensive repair, but they respect me as a customer, and after I have all the facts, it makes the decision easy for me. Alan and Ralph are honest and trustworthy mechanics who clearly know what they are doing and exhibit confident professionalism when interacting with clients. If you own a German made car, this is definitely the place to go!
