We have a Mercedes E-550 and we were having the hardest time finding a reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic that catered to foreign automotives, specifically Mercedes. They ran a full and completely thorough diagnostic and figured out what was exactly wrong with our vehicle with a comprehensive list of repairs listed in order of significance I.e. safety repairs first, extras after (I really appreciated that). They even found a shady repair that had been done by a previous mechanic. They were quick, knowledgeable and decently priced. I will be bringing my baby back to them with no hesitation and I definitely recommend you give them a try if you were having any doubts. You won’t be disappointed! - Danny

I took my car in 4/8/22 for a battery check because of a warning light. I made the appt and Paul explained what would be done. He took me in right away and tested and replaced my battery in 30 minutes. I didn’t compare prices so not sure if I got a deal or not, but I trust A & R more than any other auto repair shop for my Mercedes Benz. My previous experiences with them cause me to believe they are honest and competent. I would advise any German car owner to use this business for all of their service and repair needs.

A& R German Motors is THE Mercedes place to go in the South Bay. These guys know their stuff, and are honest and trustworthy to boot.

The heater in my car stopped working. I had the problem diagnosed at a dealership and at A & R German motors. The repair required a new assembly. The work was done in a day by A & R German Motors rather than the two or three days I expected and for several hundred dollars less than the dealership would have charged me! I am very pleased!!

I spoke with Alan, he was very friendly and helpful which is nice because I’m a female. He explained everything that needed to be done and the pricing and overall it was a wonderful experience I would recommend anyone to go there as I will be going back-this was my initial review 1.5 years ago- I’ve been back since and I love the service!

This was my first experience with A&R, as the independent BMW shop I had used for 11+ years lost their location and went out of business. After reading about A&R on Yelp, and seeing positive reviews, and noting that both mechanics previously worked at Vasek Polak, I decided to give them a try. *Vasek Polak is where I had my cars serviced back in the 80's & 90's, and my experience there was always good with the service department. I drove in and Ralph came over, we discussed the issues with my older 1995 BMW 5 series. I made an appointment for a week later and dropped the car off. I had a horrible rattle from the rear driver's side, which was the main issue. As Ralph had diagnosed when I made the appointment, I had a broken shock mount in the rear left. He replaced both shock mounts in the rear of the vehicle, and also rear brake pads, brake fluid flush, and the transmission fluid in my manual transmission. There were other items that Ralph pointed out, most that I was aware of, but of course we prioritized and took care of the priority items for now. The car was ready to be picked up a couple days later as quoted, the price of service and repairs was exactly as quoted, all in all a great experience with A&R! I am so happy to have a quiet ride again, as well as a new place to get my car serviced. This is a very positive and straightforward service shop, with mechanics that know BMW's inside out. I will definitely be coming back for more items on the list of repairs needed with my beloved old 5 series.
