Very happy with the services of A & R German Motors. A & R services my Mercedez Benz AMG, and Mini S. They are very knowledgeable, their charges are fair and reasonable, their work is top notch, and the experience is excellent. After being a loyal customer of SouthBay MBZ (16 years) and a Mini specialist (10 years) I can say without hesitation that I am very much satisfied with A & R and highly recommend them.

I have had my Mercedes serviced at A & R German Motors for years. I have always been thoroughly satisfied. Alan is terrific and very professional. I also recommended him to my friend that has a BMW SUV. She is also very happy with the service she's received. He's prices have always seemed very reasonable. Brought my Mini Cooper Clubman in for front brakes and oil change. I've only ever gone to the dealership for service, so I did not know what to expect. Well I was pleasantly surpirsed. Allen was extremely knowledgeable about Minis. A&R completed the service exactly as promised and when promised. The best part was that it was less expensive than what the dealer would have charged. As long as I own my Mini I will be an A&R customer.

I love these guys! I have an 18 year old Mercedes Stationwagon and I rely on A & R to keep my old Mercedes running smoothly. Over the years they have helped me with standard maintenance, but also with more complex problems. As an older female with little knowledge of car mechanics, I am always hesitant when dealing with male dominated professionals. But not with A &R. Everything is explained patiently to me and with a smile. No matter how long it’s been since I was at the garage, I am always greeted with a smile and by my name. It’s a little thing, but it absolutely adds to my comfort level. There are never any surprises with these guys....nothing is done on the car until it is explained to me. They always show me the old part (if that is what was done) and try to demonstrate the problem. There are a few things on my car that have failed...like the dashboard time and temperature. It was explained to me that the repair would be expensive and is not intrinsic to the operating of the car. Another repair shop would probably take advantage of my ignorance, and recommend the repair. Not A&R! They would be happy to do this expensive repair, but they respect me as a customer, and after I have all the facts, it makes the decision easy for me. Alan and Ralph are honest and trustworthy mechanics who clearly know what they are doing and exhibit confident professionalism when interacting with clients. If you own a German made car, this is definitely the place to go!

These guys are top-notch. I've got a 2013 Mini Cooper and each and every time an issue comes up, the owners are quick to schedule a time to get me in and get issues resolved QUICKLY. The communication is also WAY above average- They take the time to explain not only the issue, but how/why the issue occurred, the chances of reoccurrence, and the repair options (If any). I've also appreciated the frankness of everyone at the shop regarding the severity of the issue- For instance, one of the repairs I had done required 3 different parts, each with a different price point. I ended up getting 2 done immediately and the next completed the following month, but the guys gave me enough info up front to feel comfortable and confident that I was taking care of the critical issues, while helping to make a contingency plan to take care of the third, less major issue the following month. Can't say enough about these guys- They beat the dealership and other shops by a mile- Give them a shot, you won't regret it.
